CONSERVATION HOLOGENOMICS

by LASSE NYHOLM JESSEN

Can the fitness of captive-bred fish be increased by priming their microbiome to the environmental conditions they will encounter in the wild? This is the main question we are trying to answer in this project using a hologenomic approach considering both population genomics and metagenomic differences between populations.

DOMESTICATION METAGENOMICS

by AMANDA BOLT BOTNEN

Understanding the metagenomics of modern feral and domestic animals may highlight the early processes that led to the successful domestication of animals thousands of years ago.

HOST CONTROL OVER MICROBES

by ANTTON ALBERDI

We are running captitivity experiments in which rodents are subject to concatenations of environmental variation to unveil the links between their genomes and metagenomes.

CERVID HOLOGENOMICS

by ZHIPENG LI

We are trying to understand whether and how deer species and their rumen microbial communities evolved in the last 20 million years.
